This lovely project was all about creating a calm, happy space for a little girl to play, relax, and grow into.
The room had been recently painted and the little girl had never slept or even played in the space (as previously it was being used as a storage room). Her parents wanted a space that truly felt hers – organised, welcoming, but easy for them to maintain too!
My goal? To design an inviting space that wasn’t overwhelming, where each of her favourite toys and books had their own designated homes.
The project took place over several hours – here’s what I did!:
✅ Selected books and toys from various rooms around the home – I chose her favourites; Peppa Pig etc and found items that had been put away in cupboards and drawers and forgotten about!
✅ Relocated toys to their new spaces – so that they were easily accessible and visible
✅ Created memory boxes for artwork, birthday cards and sweet little keepsakes
✅ Hung all of the little girl’s clothing in the wardrobe cupboard – so that the room feels complete!
The Result?
A light, organised and joyful bedroom that supports play, independence, and calm, the perfect first space to grow, dream, and play in.
