This lovely project was all about creating a calm, happy space for a little boy to play, relax, and grow into. His parents wanted a room that truly felt his – organised, welcoming, and easy to maintain.
My goal? To design an inviting space that wasn’t overwhelming, where each of his favourite toys had its own designated home.
The project took place over several days, starting with reorganising his room, then introducing newly edited toys from the playroom cupboard and refreshed playroom space.
The process – here’s what I did!:
✅ Decluttered and reorganised every item currently in the room
✅ Created memory boxes for artwork, birthday cards and sweet little keepsakes
✅ Used stackable boxes to group and house all the LEGO, stored neatly in the built-in cupboard
✅ Relocated toys to their new, more functional spaces
✅ Reduced visual clutter and kept only age-appropriate toys and games
The result?
A light, organised and joyful bedroom that supports play, independence, and calm, the perfect first space to grow, dream, and play in.
