In this wonderfully busy household, I spent the day transforming a large playroom used by two young children.
Over the course of a focused 7-hour session, I tackled a full declutter and reorganisation of the space – creating a calmer, more functional environment for play, learning and everyday life.
The process:
My client and I began by sorting through all the books from the built-in wall shelves and the toys housed in the large central storage unit.
Each shelf and surface was thoroughly cleaned before carefully returning the items in a more thoughtful and accessible way.
To create breathing room and reduce visual overwhelm, we relocated a large selection of the storybooks to the children’s cosy reading nook upstairs. This freed up valuable shelf space and made the playroom feel lighter and more spacious.
