Recently, I had the pleasure of transforming a cluttered pantry into a streamlined, organised, and efficient space – where everything now has a dedicated place!
The pantry had some designated areas for specific food types but still needed an overhaul to be able to support and cope with the daily demands of a busy family. As a result, the space meant for food storage and even possible food prep, had lost some of its function.
The Process:
Over the course of 4 hours…:
- Checked all the use by dates on each food item
- Wiped down and cleaned all surfaces and cupboards
- Sorted & organised all food and drinks into dedicated sections – some in new areas within the space v Cleared out miscellaneous items and returned them to their proper places within the kitchen
- Donated unwanted food to OLIO and some kitchen ware has been given to a great cause, The St Nicholas Hospice.
The Result? A fully functional, stylish, and clutter-free pantry designed to make cooking and everyday life stress-tree!
This was more than just decluttering and organising – it was about implementing systems that support my client’s and her family’s busy daily life!
