I was recently commissioned by a client to create a bespoke clothing storage solution for her large spare room. The challenge? She didn’t want a traditional walk-in wardrobe, as the room still needed to function as a welcoming guest space.

The Brief:
After, our video consultation, I begun researching and designing concepts based on our initial video call. Using AI visualisation tools, design planning software, and detailed product research, I created a series of mock-ups featuring different IKEA storage systems to help my client visualise the possibilities within the room.
At the onsite consultation, I took precise measurements, reviewed the architectural details of the property, and refined the concepts further. One important consideration was preserving the room’s original 1920s character features – including the picture rails and high skirting boards, which significantly influenced the final design direction.
I emailed her my final designs of the 3 IKEA clothing systems with QR codes – so that she could order exactly what she needed too. As part of my service, I also curated a look book of complementary furniture, lighting, and styling ideas with product links, to help bring the overall vision for the space to life.
