I continued helping a lovely family settle into their new home in Cambridge after a home move, this time tackling their brand new (but still rail-less!) dressing room.
The process:
With no fixed storage in place yet, my client ordered two affordable hanging rails from Amazon to get us started. I built the rails, unpacked every box of clothing, and worked closely with her to:
✅ Declutter items she no longer needed
✅ Hang and organise the pieces she wanted to keep
✅ Pack away seasonal/winter wear to free up precious space for summer
✅ Move the two large dressers into more functional positions within the room to maximise the small space and create better flow
✅ Shoes, handbags, and seasonal items were grouped and boxed up, ready to be stored away in the loft. Every single box was processed!
Once my client’s wardrobe was sorted, I moved on to unpack and organise her husband’s and son’s clothing too, so the entire family could finally feel a bit more settled.
It was a focused 4-hour session, but the result? A calm, functional space that’s ready to grow with the family.
